Enabel’s Trade for Development Center commanded a study for cocoa cooperatives in Ivory Coast who want to export their cocoa.

Main conclusion
The study shows that direct export is a major challenge and that it requires particular skills and precise know-how. The cooperatives need to be well organized and must already have a certain network to access demanding markets. Find out more in the report.
