Koakaka is a coffee cooperative from Rwanda that produces top quality coffee. Despite this, the cooperative – like many in the region – faced many challenges: demanding buyers, small profit margins and a lack of market knowledge.
In 2016 Koakaka was selected for a coaching module in marketing and in business management of TDC. This gave them all the tools to strengthen their position on the international market. Successfully!
Coaching TDC: Necaayo
Necaayo operates since 2009 in Guiré, in Western Côte d’Ivoire. The cocoa cooperative has 1410 members and puts more than 3500 tonnes of cococa on the market. For 3 years NECAAYO benefited from coaching in marketing of the TDC. It has become one of the best cooperatives in the sub-region.

The Enduimet Wildlife Management Area is located in Tanzania, right next to Kilimanjaro. This area is mainly inhabited by the Masai, but is also the home of elephants and many other wild animal species. The local Masai community was looking for a way to improve their standard of living and at the same time take greater care of the animals and their environment. They found a solution in the development of responsible tourism with the support of the Trade for Development Center and the local NGO Honeyguide Foundation. Check out for yourself how they do this!
